Where is it? CML is located about ten miles north of the town of Sandpoint, Idaho and just a few miles due north of Schweitzer Mountain Resort. Sandpoint was recently named by Outside Magazine as a Dream Town and by National Geographic Adventure as one of America's top 10 Adventure Towns. Visit CML and see for yourself. The Lodge sits at 5000' on a ridge between the Caribou and Berry Creek drainages. The view from the Lodge is breathtaking. You can look north up the Pack River to the crest of the Selkirks and to the south lies Lake Pend Oreille. Access to CML varies with the time of year. In summer and fall, it is possible to drive to the Lodge. During the winter months, access is by ski-in only. The trip in is about seven miles and usually takes about 3 hours. An incoming group will be met at the trailhead. Personal gear, food and beverages will be carried in on a snow machine.
